Dear Kobe,
There is no amount of words that can soothe the pain I have in my heart. I cannot begin to fully process the fact that you are no longer physically here with us. However, your legacy, your message, and all that you stand for will not only live in my heart but the hearts of those who admire you all over the world.
I have loved basketball and the Los Angeles Lakers ever since I could remember. Kobe, I have been a fan of yours what seems like forever. Your work ethic, your drive, your love for basketball, and most importantly your love for LA is one that has always impressed me. I remember all the fun I had yelling at my tv in excitement whenever you played or yelling the infamous “KOBE!” whenever I took a shot throwing anything away. Whether you knew it or not you are bigger than the game. You were a family man. You always had a mentality that so many of us modeled after.
Thank you for giving us some of the best 20 years the NBA has ever seen. I never had the pleasure of meeting you in person, but I know you and your beautiful Gigi are balling it up in heaven with the angels. I hope that when I meet the Lord, I can play a game with you and Gigi. You have and will always be my hero. You may be gone but never forgotten. Mamba for life with a mentality like no other! #8 #24
